Behind the Bar: Valentine’s Day Floral Sangria

Love is in the air and we are gearing up for Valentine’s Day at McAlister-Leftwich House! Here’s why we love Valentine’s Day: no matter who you’re celebrating with, friends, family, significant others, children… you get to celebrate your love for others on this special day! To do that, why not have a delicious drink in hand?

We love how bright and cheerful this setup is. From the Violet Rose candlesticks to the flower petals to the citrus colors, you just can’t help but smile!

We believe that any occasion can be made special with a good cocktail! And why not make it look as lovely as the occasion feels?! This sangria is sure to make your Valentine’s Day feel the love!

Valentine’s Day Floral Sangria

Ingredients

  • 750 ml Sauvignon blanc
  • 1 cup Elderflower liqueur
  • 1/4 cup Cointreau
  • 10 Strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 pint Raspberries
  • 1 Orange, sliced
  • 1 Lemon, sliced

Directions

  1. Wash and prepare all of the fruit. Slice or cut the fruit in small pieces.
  2. Add the white wine, elderflower liqueur, fruit, and cointreau into a large pitcher.
  3. Place the sangria in the refrigerator to infuse the flavors. Anywhere from an hour to over night depending on how much time you have and how fruity you want the flavor.
  4. Enjoy!
