Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing your venue is a big decision! As you decide where you want to get married you are sure to have many questions about your vendors. We are here to answer them for you! Here are some of our top five most asked questions about our venue.

What is your capacity?

It depends on your event! For seated indoor ceremonies and receptions, the capacity is 125. For cocktail style receptions and outdoor weddings, the capacity is 150. MLH provides a home style setting for your loved ones and closest friends. We believe that a ceremony is a sacred and intimate experience for the couple. As your guests travel throughout our homes, we want them to feel the love and comfort of home.

Do you have parking?

Yes. We are fortunate to be located on the edge of the beautiful Fisher Park neighborhood and the edge of downtown Greensboro. We are between the peaceful neighborhood and the bustling downtown. A truly unique location and experience. Out of respect to our neighbors, we do not allow any parking on Leftwich Street. We are able to park approximately 20 cars in our back lot. This is normally reserved for the bridal party, family and handicapped guests. If your event is under 75 guests, we park the overflow on Church Street under the bridge, towards downtown in the public parking spaces. If your guest count is over 75, we provide our off site parking lot located at 414 N. Church Street, a 3 minute walk from the venue. We always have signage as well as parking attendants and staff available 1 hour prior to your event time to direct your guests.

Do you have required vendors?

Yes, our required vendors are our Catering Partners and our Planner/Coordinators. Service is very important to us! We want to set you up for the best possible service and experience on your wedding day. We have worked with all of these vendors and are confident that they will take care of you and treat you like family!

When is my rehearsal?

All of our rehearsals are set on the Thursday prior to your event at select times upon venue availability. If you would like to schedule a rehearsal dinner the night before your event, we will incorporate the rehearsal time then!

Will my day look like everyone else’s?

No. That is what is so unique about our beautiful space. There are so many nooks and crannies that can be the focal point for your day. We love to hear and see unique ways to use our space. We have so many ceremony spaces available as well as set ups for cocktails and receptions! With a little creativity, no two weddings at McAlister-Leftwich are alike!
