Focusing on The Gant Room

We spent hours in the design process trying to figure out how to make the Gant Room the perfect space for any event. Being the largest open indoor space, we knew it would be loved and used for ceremonies, receptions, cocktail hours, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, styled shoots…. everything! We love this room for its versatility in layout and it’s ability to transform into your dream.

Today we are going to look at how this room can seamlessly transform from a ceremony location to a reception location for your wedding.

Fist up, the ceremony. If a couple decides to host their ceremony in Gant, they have two choices of backdrop. The fireplace or the bay window. It’s best to choose a location based off of your desired background for your ceremony, the number of guests at your wedding, and the layout of the chairs. Keeping these three factors in mind, you are able to make the decision that fits your day the best.

The wedding we are featuring today, Haley and Matthew, chose to use the fireplace as their backdrop for the ceremony. So today, we are going to focus on the options they have with that in mind! When entering for the ceremony, the couple has two options. Entering from the connector hall (as shown) or descending down the stairs of the bridal suite. Sometimes, couples choose to do a combination of the two and have their bridal party enter from the connector hall and the bride make her grand entrance down the stairs of the bridal suite.

One reason couples choose Gant as their ceremony location is because it creates an intimate feeling during their ceremony. Guests surround the couple and it symbolizes their support and love for the couple! It is truly a sweet feeling as you watch the couple say “I Do” with their loved ones surrounding them.

While the guests enjoy cocktail hour on the lawn or in Leftwich, your team of vendors work quickly to flip Gant into the perfect reception space. Couples have a variety of options for their sweetheart table, dance floor location, and cake display based on the number of guests attending the wedding. This is something that we love to offer, options! Your planner and our team, help create a custom experience based on your needs.
