Where to Stay in Greensboro, NC

There are so many amazing locally owned places to stay in Greensboro that we want to share with you. Whether you’re traveling here for a wedding, work, or pleasure, you won’t be disappointed by these accommodation options! Our list includes a variety of accommodations including hotels, bed & breakfasts, and Air Bnbs.

Proximity Hotel

The Proximity Hotel is sustainably built and run, with modern design and architecture at every turn. Some of our favorite things about this hotel are the big windows, the unique art, and the convenient location near Friendly Shopping Center and downtown. Bonus: it has a restaurant downstairs called Printworks Bistro, which is one of the best in Greensboro!

The Proximity Hotel is 3.1 miles/7 minutes away from McAlister-Leftwich House.

O’Henry Hotel

The O’Henry Hotel is the sister property of the Proximity and it’s located right down the road. We love this hotel because it’s full of old world charm with warm wood paneling, ivy-covered gardens, and plush leather furniture. Our favorite part of the O’Henry (whether you stay there or not!) is their afternoon tea time. You can enjoy hot tea and petite sandwiches while you work or spend time with friends in the lounge. The O’Henry also has a restaurant attached, Green Valley Grill – another Greensboro favorite!

The O’Henry Hotel is 2.8 miles/6 minutes from McAlister-Leftwich House.

Double Oaks Bed & Breakfast

Double Oaks is a charming bed and breakfast located just minutes from McAlister-Leftwich House. It’s centrally located downtown near tons of restaurants, breweries, parks and nightlife. We love this property because it is a beautiful historic home run by kind people. While we haven’t experienced it ourselves, we’ve heard from trusted sources that the breakfast is a 10 out of 10! Double Oaks also has Wine Wednesdays during the summer in their garden, which would be a fun evening to attend whether or not you stay here.

Double Oaks Bed & Breakfast is 1.4 miles/4 minutes from McAlister-Leftwich House.

Flo Bungalow

Flo Bungalow is owned by a sweet local couple and is located in historic Fisher Park neighborhood along with McAlister-Leftwich House. The bungalow has two beds and two baths and can house up to six guests. It’s located close to all that downtown has to offer and it’s a great fit for bridal parties or larger families traveling for a few nights!
