Alex & Drew’s Wedding at McAlister-Leftwich House

We love showing you the beautiful weddings that our clients dream up at the venue! Today we are featuring Alex & Drew’s May wedding. It was just so beautiful from start to finish. Alex and Drew added personalized touches to every aspect of their day. From the cake to the bar set up, each detail showcased their story and their love. It was such an honor to host their day here at McAlister-Leftwich House!
The ladies utilized the Bridal Suite the day of to get ready in. Here you can see how the hair and makeup artists made themselves at home in our Make Up Room. This room was quite literally designed for this purpose! The natural light streaming in and large mirror makes it easy for multiple people to get ready at once!
Using different spots on the grounds, Alex and Drew did their Bridal Party pictures in a variety of locations! From the front steps of McAlister to the beautiful mural just across the street, we have so many incredible places to capture special moments.
Their ceremony was truly one of a kind here at MLH. They requested the chairs set up as circular as possible as if their guests were encompassing them. It made their ceremony intimate and magical! This was a first for McAlister-Leftwich House, but certainly not a last! We’ve had many brides request this set up after seeing Alex & Drew’s special set up.
After the ceremony, guests headed to Leftwich House where the bar was located. They could flow between the gorgeous house onto the lawn where cocktail tables were set up for guests to relax outside. One of our favorite cocktail hour set ups is one with multiple locations. Using both inside and outside of Leftwich allows guests to have space to spread out and enjoy all aspects of the venue. Want a little extra magic? Add some bistro lights!
Alex & Drew’s reception matched the rest of the day and was one of a kind! The first part of their reception was in Gant. Gant was flipped from the ceremony space to the dining room during cocktail hour. Their reception started in Gant with dinner, cake, and toasts. Then, guests were invited to the lawn where the party began! The dance floor, bistro lights, and cocktail tables created an electric atmosphere for a party!
