Gin & Grapefruit Cocktail

There are few things I love more than sitting under the North Carolina stars on a warm summer night sipping a fun fruity beverage with friends! Whether you’re on the lawn of a beautiful estate (cough – McAlister-Leftwich House – cough), or on your back porch, you deserve to sip something beautiful and delicious this summer.

When we were researching which beverage we wanted to serve up for our collaboration shoot with Frapps & Frills, Rachel Linder & Gal Meets Glam, I knew I wanted the perfect orange-pink shade that grapefruit juice brings. Because, after all, when you’re matching the entire aesthetics of a project around an amazing dress, the color matters big time!

Not only did the cocktail turn out beautifully, it tasted amazing, too! If you don’t love super sweet drinks, this is for you. The tartness of the grapefruit is refreshing and the simple syrup helps to cut it a bit (always add more if you do love something sweet!). We also discovered the most beautiful bottle of gin to have ever been created. I write that in bold because it’s really that exciting! And not to mention yummy!

The glasses you see pictured in the shoot were a bit smaller, but we kept the ratios about the same!
