Emerald and Gold Real Wedding at McAlister-Leftwich House

A couple of weeks ago we had the honor of hosting this beautiful winter wedding! The touches of emerald and gold throughout the day were absolutely perfect, especially considering the wedding was the day before St. Patrick’s Day. Erin and Jay were such a sweet couple and the whole day was such a wonderful celebration of their vows to one another. We love when our clients are also friends, and these Greensboro residents happen to go to the same church as our Sales Manager, Katie!

Erin and her bridesmaids enjoyed the morning in the Bridal Suite while Jay and his groomsmen spent the day getting ready in the Groom’s Suite. If you haven’t been to the venue yet, our Bridal Suite and Groom’s Suite are the perfect spaces to eat breakfast and lunch while getting ready for your wedding! They are on the second and third floors of the McAlister House, but completely separate from one another. The Bridal Suite is 1600 square feet of historic home that includes four rooms: a dining room, dressing room, sitting room, and hair and makeup room (with an attached bathroom). The Groom’s Suite is 1300 square feet and includes a dressing room (with an attached bathroom) and a spacious Groom’s Lounge that has a sofa, tv, dining table, chairs and more!

The couple said their vows in the Gant Room, our large renovated space inside the McAlister House. They chose to incorporate our on-site wooden cross and vintage runner in addition to our walnut Chiavari chairs. The warm tones of the wood and the runner were the perfect fit for this winter wedding!

After their vows, the bridal party went outside for more photos while the guests went inside the Leftwich House for cocktail hour. They had a beautiful moss wall and antique sofa from The Prettiest Pieces setup in the space for their guests to take photos at while they sipped their beverages. While guests were in Leftwich, our team flipped the ceremony space for dining! Once guests moved back in to find their seat, the couple entered and did their first dance in the Gant Room, ate dinner and then did toasts. Guests were then invited back over to Leftwich for dancing – it was such a fun evening!

We had the opportunity to work with an incredible team including Carly Marie Events, Abba Design, Drea Dawn Photography, Dow Oak Events, The Prettiest Pieces, Spring Garden Bakery, and Above & Beyond Catering. Thank you to all of the wonderful professionals who made this day a smooth success and congratulations, Erin & Jay!!!
